Pilgrimages within the diocese are encouraged by Pope Francis.
The Diocese of Reno offers TWO options.
Option 1 is to follow a set course that essentially begins (or ends) at the Cathedral and then moves from Our Lady of Tahoe to St. Joseph’s (or vice versa).
Option 2 will be for a pilgrim to visit a parish in each county (excluding missions, Sacred Heart in Carlin and St. Brendan's in Eureka). Option 2 also must include the Cathedral.
Each pilgrim will have a passbook in which when he or she visits a parish, they will receive a seal.
Once the pilgrimage is complete, the pilgrim presents the passbook to the bishop’s office for approval and may receive an official certificate.
The passbook will have all the requirements for the pilgrim to complete in the parish. These may be picked up at your local parish.
